  3. What happens if you ride the wheel backwards? Not you riding backwards, but stepping on it the "wrong" way and riding forwards as usual. If it still pulls to the same direction (relative to you), that would prove it's just you. If it pulls to the other side now, that would hint towards an actual wheel (well, tire/rim or at most motor) problem.
  4. As always, the price is what counts. Neat enough update on its own. The V11 controller was/is borderline too weak (mosfets), I think, and this hopefully fixes it. The board housing sure is nice! The rest of the V11 was always quite fine, it's just not a super duper performance wheel, but it never was to begin with. As long as it does not cost too much more than the V11 costs now, this seems pretty nice.

  6. There is nothing that could be wrong with the wheel to cause a sideways tendency. EUCs only do things in the forward/backwards direction. So diagnostics won't be able to find the problem (if there is a problem) because it can't be a wheel problem. As said above - either the tire is not seated properly or something like that leading to bad tire behavior, or you're just not used to a fully inflated tire.

  8. Different motor, different battery, different manufacturer. For a given voltage (for example 67.2V, which both the mten3 and 14D have), how fast a motor can spin depends on how the motor is built. The mten motor might just be designed to have a higher top speed. Also, there is a 84V mten3. 84V is a +25% increase over 67.2V, and this results in 25% higher top speed when using the same motor as in the 67V mten3. So that mten3 can go even faster. Bigger batteries (as in some mten3 versions) can also allow higher top speeds because they are safer at high speeds compared to smaller batteries, so you can allow the wheel to go faster while still being safe. For example the 14S (same as the 14D but with bigger battery) goes a little faster than the 14D (I think). And finally, back when the 14D/S was released (2017), King Song thought that wheels shouldn't be "too fast" (like 30kph) and "fast" (30kph) wheels were too dangerous, and they just refused to build wheels faster than that. Thankfully they gave up on that nonsense. Begode/Gotway in contrast always went for the highest speed they could get away with.

  11. Where did you hear it? Not sure if that makes much sense, where would used mosfets be taken from? I can't quite imagine it. But maybe that's a thing?

Two options: You have some electronics (that need space, weigh something, cost money, cost effort from the development team, and need to work reliably) that deal with the voltage difference and slowly balance the battery packs (I guess) in such a case. When current suddenly flows unhindered, you fry something, and in the worst case start a battery fire. So it's option number 1. The electronics don't necessarily need to be complex, might just be the BMSes of each pack limiting the outgoing/incoming current, I don't know how this kind of stuff works. But I presume whatever it is needs to be robust enough to deal with a sudden appearance of a higher voltage from a battery pack that can put out quite the amount of current. And it needs to work while riding, e.g. not compromising the peak power output in a relevant manner (you wouldn't want to faceplant because the packs are still being equalized or something like that happening in the background). I really have no idea how complex such electronics are to build into EUCs. - Personally, I never liked swappable battery packs. They make sense in only a niche case: when you swap "at home" (some place with preplaced battery packs, which requires effort), and when a swap makes more sense than only having a few extra kgs/pounds of battery on the wheel in the first place, e.g. for a wheel where every gram matters. How many applications does that really have? You can ask a few other questions that make me wonder if the effort is worth it. Is it a safety issue if a swappable pack can be removed when riding? Are there water issues with removable electric connectors? Do you need to be worried about someone stealing a pack? How much extra does everything cost? But I guess people keep asking for swappable batteries, and having them is how we find out the answers. And if anybody is doing this first, it's probably good that it's Inmotion and not Begode🔥🔥🔥

  15. I assume "drive circuit" is a bad translation of "control board" e.g. you would need a new board. The S22 isn't that old. Do you have some warranty on it? People shouldn't be left alone with problems like this with a brand new model!

  17. When the wheel is off, does the tire turn freely? If it seems locked, that is a short from a fried board, and you would need a new board.
  18. And no sulfuric acid atmosphere! Is this one of those scale models of the solar system where a post 10 miles further has the next planet on it? Can you do a ride of all of them, or does the Master not have enough range?

I think it just came out at a bad time - just when a new generation of wheels was arriving after the RS gen - so it flew a bit under the radar I guess? In Europe, EUCsale at least sells them.   20. Yep that is a bad calibration, or if you are unlucky a sensor that won't be calibrated nicely. Make sure to keep the wheel upright sideways (front/back allows you to calibrate the neutral pedal angle and doesn't really matter) and absolutely still (lean it to something solid while calibrating) to get a good calibration.
  21. Nothing fundamentally wrong with it. The XM is essentially an RS in another design. People weren't too happy about the build quality of the external metal cage thing, though. But it is a viable RS alternative.
