  1. These are paid lessons, $100 for 3 months of lessons. They provide the EUC. I have no idea what they're like, because I taught myself. But it is an option. https://www.rideelectric.info/training-session
  2. What a strange conclusion. This post was specifically asking for feedback on Smartwheel, so now because they had something positive to say they're a plant? I also don't post often, but I have bought my wheels from Smartwheel and have only had good experiences so far. So there you go.
  3. Similar thing happened to my T4, at least as far as the mileage resetting. I dropped the wheel at low speed but it was a big impact. Only had about 80km on wheel, but after crash it showed zero. Haven't been using wheel since because of Winter. Was worried about batteries, thinking it must have been a big impact to cause reset? But probably just going to continue riding it when weather improves. Really weird though.
  4. That sounds like good advice. However, I've never taken one of these apart and doubt my technical ability to do so. But taking it in to be checked, that I can do!
  5. Had a low speed tumble with my T4. It was fine, just had to turn it off and on so it would balance again. Then I noticed that the mileage had reset to zero. Very strange, and now I'm wondering if I should be concerned about the battery? I thought this was supposed to have BMS, but the app doesn't show any useful info. No values show. I rode it after this and didn't note anything unusual. Still feel uneasy - should I be?
  6. It seems quite a few people love the Patton. There was one available for test ride when I picked up my T4. Didn't bother because of 2 reasons... Mainly, 40kg is too heavy for my liking. I have a threshold of 35kg in my mind. Second, more trivial, reason is I find it a really ugly design! With apologies to all the fans.
  7. Thanks for your detailed reply. I was not aware that the latest batch S22 still had issues. I had a narrow escape then! Was about to buy the S22 Pro, but decided last minute to get the T4 instead. My thinking was to get a suspension wheel to tide me over while I wait to see what KingSong comes out with in 2024 - particularly keen to see what the "F-series" performance wheels will be all about. I think your first wheel is probably always special. I still believe in KingSong. Hope they give me reason to continue!
  8. Dismal? Based on one wheel (assuming you're referring to the S20/S22)? I don't understand the negativity towards KS because of issues with one wheel. Meanwhile I've read about issues with wheels from other brands regularly. Even the same brands that are praised today. As an example, the thread on all the issues with the V12. Seemingly people could move past that but not for KingSong for some reason. The S19, for example, I've only heard good things, even for the first batch. But yet... and not just your post, but others with the same sentiment. You're entitled of course, I'm just puzzled. KS haven't been churning out wheels like the other brands. Which is also ok by me, as long as they're worth waiting for. Feels like a crazy race to release wheels among other brands, I'm worried that quality and testing are being compromised.
  9. Great advice, appreciate it. I did want to try different brands to experience different styles so I suppose I shouldn't complain! Also, learning is still fun. I will have to see when I'm brave enough to try jumping though... one day!
  10. I am very interested in getting into trails, so I will not go with my first instinct, which was to want to change this tire! And yes, haven't invested in custom pads. Lot to consider here. Appreciate the advice.
  11. Thanks, good to hear. Exactly why I wanted to hear from other T4 owners. I have exactly 20km on this wheel, so I guess I've jumped to my judgements too quickly. Also, the 16x was the wheel I really got comfortable and experienced with. A new wheel with different ride characteristics will no doubt present its own learning curve. I'll give it time.
  12. Thanks for all these tips, and I really needed to hear this. Was having major buyer's remorse. Will give it time then - was about ready to take wheel back and lose the 30% restocking fee!
  13. Hi. Just bought a T4, traded in my KS16x for this. Hugely disappointed so far. Want to know from others whether what I'm experiencing with this wheel is normal or not. First issue, Begode app, cannot set any speed alarms, also cannot change riding mode, which is set to racing. Anti-spin button doesn't work. Had nice time cleaning black marks off my wooden floor. Wheel beeps at 30km/h speed. Knobby tire feels like riding a bicycle with square tires. Unpredictable, unstable, and oscillates when trying to turn. Had a near-death experience the first time I tried to corner with this wheel. Noisy wheel! Range is rubbish. Bear in mind, can't ride more than 30km/h because of alarm (not that I want to with this crazy tire), but having only done 20km, fully charged battery now shows 70%. If I extrapolate that, I'll be lucky to get 60km out of this wheel. At the modest speed I was riding, this seems crazy bad range. Wheel seems under-powered, going up a steep hill that my 16x used to fly up, this wheel was really sluggish and struggling. I read that racing mode has lower torque than off-road mode. Then somewhere else on this forum I read that racing mode has higher torque. No idea, I can't even change it to see for myself. Anyway, not trying to be negative, really wanted to love this wheel. But so far, I have seen nothing good about it. Could someone advise, am I just unlucky with a bad wheel in this case?
  14. I'm not misled in the slightest. I honestly don't care whether the wheel has dual suspension or not. Just felt it unjustified to rip into a retailer for publishing specs from the manufacturer. And suggest that they had ulterior motives for doing so. If InMotion don't know the specs on their own wheel, there is a bigger problem.
  15. Wow... lot of anger for some reason. Saw the same reference to double suspension on the InMotion Store EU: Double suspensions system (suspension sliders on the sides and coil suspension on the rear) Would imagine this is the marketing material and wording provided by InMotion. https://inmotion-store.com/product/inmotion-v14/
