  1. Hello, Just selling: Gotway Mten3 Electric Unicycle Color: black stealth edition 420Wh, 67 volts 800W motor Total mileage: 7 miles Purchase date from ewheels.com: October 2020. Covered by ewheels warranty until October 2021. Some extra details: Rubber bumpers and some reflective stickers have been applied. Comes with original box, manual, extended valve connector, and charger. I've never used the charger myself since I rode it so little. Will put into transport mode (if I can figure it out). Scratches are on the bottom of the pedals and in a small area on the front (see pic). Payment will be made via Paypal and shipped via ewheels.com (warranty to new owner will be provided by ewheels.com). Thanks for looking!
  2. Wheel has been sold. Thank you all and may the force be with you always.
  3. The realistic option for me is D. Where I live in my state, NC, the state law is pretty cool and allows for use for various paths and riders are considered to be pedestrians. 20-175.6. Electric personal assistive mobility devices: "An electric personal assistive mobility device may be operated on public highways with posted speeds of 25 miles per hour or less, sidewalks, and bicycle paths. A person operating an electric personal assistive mobility device on a sidewalk, roadway, or bicycle path shall yield the right-of-way to pedestrians and other human-powered devices. A person operating an electric personal assistive mobility device shall have all rights and duties of a pedestrian, including the rights and duties set forth in Part 11 of this Article." However, municipal laws are able to add restrictions to riders. So where I live, I can only take my EUC where I don't want to be anyway (next to cars haha) and they are not allowed on the beautiful greenways that we have. If the EUC speed has to be reduced, but I get to take the EUC on the greenways, then I would be pretty happy. But maybe it isn't the EUC that needs to be regulated, but cities just need to have better lanes. I think most forward-thinking cities want to have a good balance of accommodating pedestrians and things like bikes/scooters/EUC's. My city just isn't there yet. I also work in health care and we get "pedestrian vs car" patients all the time. I like this hobby, but I like my intact limbs even more haha.
  4. Hello, Just selling: Kingsong 16X 1554Wh version 1st owner: purchased from ewheels.com in Aug 2020 and sold to me at 242 miles. Has small scratches on pedals, on trolley handle, front rubber thing, and one of the side rubber things (see pics). Some dirt on left pedal. Wheel will be locked via app before shipment. Looking to downgrade to something lighter with less range. Thanks for looking!
  5. https://www.bohnarmor.com Bohn sells some motorcycle mesh stuff for warmer months. The armor is also removable. They also have a pretty long return policy. They are currently having a holiday sale (code: holiday15).
  6. Just wanted to share a video of the fire ball extinguisher thing in action. These balls appear to have optional mounts available so the balls can be suspended in air over whatever object needs fire protection. There's the Elide Fire Ball version ($120 per ball) and apparently its counterfeit version called the AFO Fire Ball ($30 per ball).
  7. I feel like lithium battery fires will reach national attention and sales of fireproof sheds will increase as the prevalence of e-bikes increase. This blog post has a list of e-bike fires that have occurred in 2020 & 2019: http://jimmymacontwowheels.com/battery-fires-create-concerns-for-every-electric-bike-owner/ The incidents of e-bike fires seem to be very small, but can still be a threat.
  8. I'm a first-time EUC buyer and I dropped my V11 pre-order for a lightly-used Kingsong 16X because its been out for awhile, seems like a mature product, and appears to survive abuse from learning. For a future EUC, I'm thinking I'll wait for batch 6 of the V11 or whatever EUC comes around that offers easy tire changes (I'm also a biker). The saddle of the V11 and the trolley handle of the Gotway RS is what made me hesitate to get them. No hurry on my end for the latest and greatest.
  9. That's a pretty cool idea. Some e-bike manufacturers, like Vela, offer extra batteries for $129 a pop. Those who make electric motorcycles and scooters like Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Suzuki are also testing swappable battery ecosystems (so that motorcycles from each manufacturer can all rely on the same battery design). Chinese automaker Nio is planning for a future where instead of charging a car at home or a charging station, drivers would visit a battery station and swap the battery in their car for a fresh one (this would make the car cheaper to buy in the first place). I believe front fog lights, at least on cars, are a relic of the past. They are super situational and add to the cost of a vehicle. They are not considered standard equipment for cars and car manufacturers like Audi or Hyundai's Genesis don't even offer them. They are designed to run low on the ground because light from normal headlights reflect off the moisture in the air and blind the driver. These days highly advanced headlights just point to where they need to to fill in the foreground and to the sides to help with driving. Cars these days will rely less on fog lights and more on advanced assist technology to guide them through bad driving conditions like safety features like lane assist and crash avoidance etc. I think traveling slow, high visibility gear (blinking lights, highly reflective vest, etc.), and maybe a horn would probably be more effective than fog lights for EUC's. In my area fog probably happens twice a year.
  10. Would love these cool things in future EUC's: Tire pressure sensor and warnings when pressure hits a certain number. Better, more stable kickstands. Radar like on the Garmin Varia that alerts the user when an object gets closer. The Garmin also pulsates its rear light faster when an object approaches. Tires that are easy to change. Maybe a blocky seat that also doubles as a handy parking block/stand. More integration with Apple Watch (maybe a horn that's easy to access?). More weatherproofing.
