You should have said and I would have given you a lift.

Nah it was fine. I'm wanting to do the entire run from Hilary's to Fremantle so it was a good range test!

Weather's getting warmer! Who's up for a ride?

I did run into Mike the other week and he mentioned he was keen for a ride.

on a side note, I accidently ordered a Gotway 67v charger when I needed a 84v charger. free to anybody who wants it.

Hey mate, I'm keen. Let me know when suits.

Cheers!

I am just trying to buy a controller, but to be honest I am a bit hesitant now as the resultant crash when a board fails makes you realise you have no chance of recovery and it could result in a major injury when you face plant at speed. Luckily I had just slowed down when it died.

Yeah that's always my fear. So looking for a entire new wheel then?

I'll be unpopular here, but I may opt for a skateboard. :)

I think you're fine as long as its not a OneWheel :) Bonus points if its a gotway moonwalk.

Which one are you looking at?

Haha. I love the Gotway MCM5. Just a bit nervous knowing what happens when they die. FYI. Join the "Perth Electric Skateboardoarders - Western Australia" group on Facebook. They do Wednesday night rides. They are fun and Unicycles are welcome. They are a good bunch. I was riding with them for a couple of weeks and then I got a flat. Fixed that and then I had a failure. It is fun anyway and they nearly always leave from the Camfield, so not too far for you to travel to the starting point.

Yeah but all the electric vehicles have some sort of flaw. Escooters have the risk of stems breaking. I'm not sure about skateboards but I would imagine pot holes would cause you to fall.

What do you reckon Eyss? You up for a ride this weekend, even if it's just the two of us?

Sure. I can do Saturday if that works?

I was thinking of doing the 2 bridges stopping for a coffee somewhere along the way.

Sounds good. Let me know where you'd like to meet. I'll drive to meet you to conserve battery so happy to meet anywhere.

Hi guys and gals!

Happy New Year - welcome 2021!!!

Not sure if anyone still monitors this thread....no posts since October - oh well worth a try nonetheless :D

I recently signed up to the forum. I've upgraded from my Kingsong 18XL to the Veteran Sherman :) and am keen to meet up with fellow EUC riders. Doesn't matter if you have something smaller or less powerful. More about socialising with like minded individuals for some cruisy rides.

I'm in Success but don't mind travelling. I quite often head to Kalamunda and Jarrahdale to hit up the Mountain Bike trails with my KS 18XL - especially after I put the Clark Pads. It's great fun to be able to jump over things without having to worry if your feet will slip off on landing.

Cheers!

Hey Troy, Happy New Year to you too!

I also just picked up a Sherman, they're pretty awesome hey!

A few of us still monitor this site. There's a few that also go on group rides with what is primarily an e-skateboarder group, but all PEV's are welcome. The Facebook groups I know about are "Perth Electric Skateboarders - Western Australia", "Perth Evolve & DOT Electric Skateboarders" and "E-Riders Western Australia". There's pretty much a group ride every Wednesday night, but if you're ever keen to catch up for a ride otherwise let me know! Cheers, Mike

Hey Mike,

Thanks for the reply and Facebook group suggestions. I've sent through the requests and will monitor those groups for any upcoming rides.

Yeah the Veteran Sherman is a beast! I love it!! My KS-18XL is still awesome but 50 km/hr was right on the limit and there's nothing like being able to cruise around at that speed with even more power in reserve!! The knobby tire sounds cool as well :)

Sounds good! I'm definitely keen to catch up for a ride whenever you're free.

What he said! :D

Happy New Year and look forward to meeting you on a Wednesday night ride. I am feeling a bit inadequate on my MCM5 in the company of tanks. Haha.
