Gray Goodbarn
Just wondering if anyone here has applied either of these two products to their wheel ? http://line-x.co.uk http://www.u-pol.co.uk/raptor-bed-liner.htm
TremF
Erm... it's sometimes good to actually mention the products unless whoever may have done so is to be a mind reader too? LOL I didn't see the tags but for anyone else that doesn't either (mobile)... One of the products is Line-X - http://line-x.co.uk/ https://www.facebook.com/techinsider/videos/535657319965962/ and the other Raptor - http://www.u-pol.co.uk/product-cat/250/raptor.htm https://www.amazon.co.uk/U-Pol-Raptor-Truck-Liner-Paint/dp/B004QDPWEG/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1468438565&sr=8-2&keywords=raptor+paint I might be tempted once I decide if I am sticking with the ACM or upgrading to the MSuper V3 . Although I could probably get the V3 and coat my NineBot and ACM for my girls to use.

TremF
In the UK we look to have a few places popping up that do the Line-X coatings. The Raptor can be purchased from Amazon among other places but this is my usual go to place for most things. Both are like rubber coatings which will mean the EUC's will be more waterproofed and can take a tumble and come up without a scratch
dmethvin
Is that a video of @The Fat Unicyclist? If an EUC had that coating wouldn't it be pretty ugly though? I'm not sure the extra waterproof-ness is worth having a wheel that looks like it was slimed.
Hunka Hunka Burning Love
Man I want to spray that all over my body before going on a ride on my NOEKateUptonBotTM. Or maybe just a certain part of my body. It is removable right? Right? This spray would be good for an "instant" cast in case of broken bones if sprayed around the cloth wrap if it's rigid enough and fast setting. Do they still use plaster for casts? Jrkline "Wheel Whisperer"
Works pretty good.My IPS a130 was white and now is black.Pretty durable coating.

I'd go for black personally and would use it more to protect my EUC in the event of a fall (no more scratches!) the added waterproofing would just be a bonus. I'm not sure the extra waterproof-ness is worth having a wheel that looks like it was slimed. It is also scratch resistant which is the feature i was looking at ,and i am unsure if it looks uglier than those foam strips ? guess that is down to personal opinion. If you apply the Coatings correct and evenly it looks very good ,you can choose how coarse or fine you want your finish. The raptor coating is scratch proof and can be rolled on (not a great finish) or atomized via a spray gun (best result) The Line-x is widely available across the UK , It is atomized at very high psi and sets within 3 seconds so you need specialist equipment and someone who knows what they are doing. Line-x is bullet proof. Raptor is scratch proof They both repel water.

dmethvin
Yeah I'd love to see the coatings in action to get a better idea of how they look and work on an EUC. As far as being waterproof, you'd want to avoid spraying over shell seams, speaker holes, power button, displays, etc. Without some sort of gaskets there the water could still get in. Ideally it seems you'd spray the wheel well too, sort of an undercoating. That might be the most effective use since I ride through puddles/mud/gravel more often than I ride while water is falling from the sky.
