There is a "Delete account" button in the user settings but I don't know if it works. I feel for you, I have this account because I need some technical exchange occasionally, but thats it. This place makes me sick in the stomach at times, and I'm sad there is pretty much nowhere else to go. Before I had an account where I interacted, tried to bring things to the table, etc, but it became increasingly pointless. This is an international forum and political commentary from one country is considered off-topic and can be removed. Nothing good is gained from bringing up politics on a forum dedicated to EUC discussion. We do get reports about once a week on some bad behaviour and I do remember the forum being nicer a few years back. But it's still relatively nice place compared to almost everything else. Only on a birding/binocular forum do I see more civil behaviour. Unfortunately it's time consuming and difficult to moderate slightly bad behaviour that doesn't cross clear lines. And the lines have not been drawn very strictly here as it's not been necessary before. This place is pretty free and perhaps should be moderated more strictly. But that takes time and effort which is not available on a free forum. I would again like to remind everybody that the only reason this place is available for free and without any commercial interest is because one member (@John Eucist) pays for all the hosting costs and there's a volunteer moderation team taking care of keeping the spammers out and doing some maintenance tasks. Every time someone derails thread with off-topic stuff or write nasty comments it's unnecessary work for moderators. We don't have the resources to manage the place better. We keep this place nice by behaving well. We can all chip in to the costs by doing our part in being nice and helpful. In any outdoor sand pit there are gonna be some odd lumps of squirrel shit along the way, but mostly everyone remains very reasonable and civil here most of the time I'd say... There are 21 278 total members Right now 21 members are present and 65 guests. That means there are probably 3 times as many lurkers without account as there are members. Of course most are not active any more. But we've reached possibly close to 100k people somehow. That's how many people might have been served somehow, maybe they got answer to their question (as someone else has posted a question and another person answered it helpfully) or they've been thinking about buying a new wheel and searched for user experiences. Out of 21 000 registered members there have been only a handful of "lumps of squirrel shit" among them. It might be just 0.01 % of members but if they are active and loud, it might seem like the forum is a horrible place for everybody. I found the "Master" threads created by @Cerbera , @Panzer04, and @Marty Backe to be very helpful for repairing and modding my own Begode Master. It sure beats scrolling through an 8 month backlog of Telegram messages! I would say that Telegram and Facebook are best for staying up to date with the most recent EUC news, as well as communicating with the manufacturers. @Cam@PLEASE_DELETE and any others, If you are looking for a quality EUC community, may I recommend the EUC Discord server?
