Commander GT PRO+ | 168V 20" 4440Wh | Bigger battery version of the Commander GT PRO

I'd love to get your opinion on the wheel.

Tough choice ahead.  I decided against the Master Pro because I have a 30" inseam.  My two heavy wheels, Ex20s and Ex30, are just right for me.  Seated riding is a dream.  I can split lanes and make slow speed turns fairly easily.  I wonder if I would feel the same if I added 30lbs to either wheel.    I am leaning against purchasing the GT Pro+ at this moment.

is this "veteran Lynx killer" - rummored in latest Zen Lee video? Probably... yes
I think soon we probably see also begode "Et Max Plus" - with bigger battery. This 2 companies often work together on development of new models.

How is it, do you think, that they took a 103lb GT Pro and then added 2p and the weight jumps almost 30lbs?  @Jason McNeil are they adding climate control or a sun roof?

Samsung 50S cell weight = 72 g max

40 cells x 4.2 V = 168 V

40 cells x 2P x 72 g = 5760 g = 12.7 lbs.

You may have a point there. :)

@Clem604

Have you been enticed by any new wheel yet to upgrade from your current Sherman S?

Perhaps the Commander GT Pro Plus for more range?  4400 Wh, and 168 V?

Or wait for Leaper Kim to come out with something more interesting to replace the Sherman S?]

:)

I still really like my Sherman S,  17,000km's with no issues. I will probably wait for the next LK long range wheel but I like that we have more options. Competition drives innovation after all.

I'm in the same boat (and close to same distance done).

Love my Sherman S, I just wish it had a bump in voltage (which would give it a speed boost), smart BMS and better charging speed (I do weekend long, long distance trips), 1500wh charging is killing me).

GT PRO + with C38 tile motor (Same as ET MAX). Currently tested in Russia.

Note the led lights and front bumpers.

What a beast. I wonder whether Marty is reviving his trans USA trip thoughts.

Marty already has a Master Pro with 4800 Wh battery.

Not sure how is the 4400 Wh battery of the GT Pro + is going to help with range.

Is there any update to this? I've been looking around quite a bit for a fast, long range cruiser to keep up with the poorly protected bike lanes on the stroads in my area. Not having to charge the battery for a few days to reduce cycles and extend the life is pretty appealing. Also having heard some reviewers/YouTubers saying the Commander GT Pro's suspension is far better than the ET Max makes me want to wait and see what this wheel will bring.

@Jason McNeil can you give us an update to this wheel?

The delay was getting EB to use a SmartBMS on these battey packs.

Should be a requirement for the rest of the wheels they're selling currently, no reason why CP Mini doesn't have a Smart BMS.

So the (expected) specs for the wheel are going to be:

- 4400wh
- C38 Tile Motor
- Tubless rim MOQ too high
- SKF Bearings
- ET Max tire
- LED Ambient Lights
- 20A Charging
- 55kg weight 59.3kg weight (according to specsheet)
- XT90 + 10AWG wire between control board and distribution board
- SmartBMS

I assume the improved waterproofing for the motherboard/battery cables still in the works? Will this wheel receive an independent IP rating like the ET Max or Lynx?

I'm also curious on how the BMS works, will we able to charge it to 80% to save on cycles similar to how we can do so on mobile devices?

May we also be privy to the expected cost of the wheel?

@Jason McNeil

I'm not trying to criticize or knock on this project in any way, I just want to know the specs of this wheel (as much as possible at least in this stage of development) to weigh my options against current offerings.

Thanks for the update as well!

It depends on market demand. Adding a smart BMS will add cost. The question is, will sales improve with adding a smart BMS, or not, since the price will go up. Current Extreme Bull Commander wheels such as the Commander Mini is selling at a lower price than its competitor.

Here's another example. The Master V4 recently dropped in price and in flash, they seemed to have all been sold out. And the Master V4 does not have a smart BMS.

If no one buys euc's that don't have smart BMS's, all manufacturers will put smart BMS's in all their wheels.

Smart BMs barely cost anything, they've been around for many years. It's just laziness from EB (Begode).

sexy built in leds sell me. so does big battery (i'm a heavy athlete and speed demon) or I could go the other route and pick up the MPRo v3 and throw on some fancy leds like some others have done with their wheels (especially sherman s and lynx)  at various points of time. there's a reason i still ride and love the monster pro to this day aswell. RGB!! BATTERY SIZZE!!. as sexy as et max is. if only it had a 3.5 or 4kwh battery atleast...

I'm anxious to see this Commander GT PRO+ get released so we can truly compare it with the MastPro V3 with 50S, both in stats and price (I don't know price for GT PRO+ yet).  I already decided and ordered the MPRO V3 just because the 4800Wh battery is a little over 8% more than 4400Wh, and I like the idea of the MPRO being taller and better suited for seated riding when needed on those massively long rides.. but I'm curious to see if I'll regret that decision at all once this GT PRO+ comes out.

i legit just forgot that there si still no 168v or super high voltage version i n general of the already high volage master pro. i think i might be leaning more to this now. 168v with that much battery? man, you'll be havin a helluva lengthy, FAST ride. Also I notice you're from Denver. seen my boy chooch? hahahaa. I'm over in LV, I'll let you know when I head over there. never been

First batch of the GT PRO+, was completed over the weekend. Alas, they didn't adopt the BG SmartBMS for this model either
