Why jump to ridiculous sizes before trying the intermediary ones? 6806 bearings have a massive 30mm ID and are very durable, easily found from the big manufacturers = high precision, and very cheap (as an example). Plenty of space to run a massive steel hollow axle in there and plenty of space for thick separated motor wires.
