I had clicked the x to not do the update but that wasn't enough for it, it tried anyway and then crashed. Mine the battery lights (inside) were flashing, the bluetooth was on, but the app wouldn't connect again and the wheel wouldn't balance or turn off. The hold the power button for 30 seconds trick didn't do anything other than eventually it would start repeating "please don't move". I ended up having to take an uber home, and then dismantle the wheel enough to be able to unplug the headlight unit completely, held the power button (to release any stored energy) then replugged in everything to reset the bluetooth. Only then was I able to reconnect with the app, it redid the firmware upgrade and all was well. Was a sucky experience that ruined the day for me and caused a lot of stressing.
