Flash
Solid tyre I wan't to improve safety , what would happen if you have a puncture in high speed with one wheel ? Is there a solid tyre that fits 18 inch euc ? , if I´m falling then I wan't it to be because I did wrong not because of something else I can't control
Hunka Hunka Burning Love
I would think the tire would start going flat and you would feel a bumpy ride making you slow down? This could come in handy for my 420 day trip around the world. I wonder if it can be cut to fit and what to use to glue the ends together? http://www.instructables.com/id/Quick-tip-4-Installing-No-Mor-Flats-on-your-Bic/?ALLSTEPS Or maybe a tire liner might do the trick? https://www.amazon.com/Clean-Motion-Rhinodillos-Bicycle-Liners/dp/B00PUDX7YS Or maybe a Tannus tire if they come in smaller sizes? http://www.tannus.com/

OliverH
Do you mean a tubeless tire with solid tyre? Automotive grade? In this case the rim needs the humps that the tire don't get in the bed of the rim if on low pressure. The valve must be fitted to the rim like on cars. No I was thinking of a solid rubber tyre , no air but Hunkahunkaburninglove found some good alternatives
Gimlet
The Gotway 8" & 5" eucs had solid tyres and I'm fairly sure they gave a very bumpy ride compared to a pneumatic tyre. Certainly not a thing you'd want to go fast on! Try alternatives like slime in the pneumatic tyre, it will prevent most flats but can't cope with a split or blow out which are very rare on low speed properly inflated tyres. I have slime in all my eucs!
Keith
I've also wondered about this device: https://patchnride.com The company really are missing a trick in that the idea of being able to fix a conventional puncture from outside of the tire without removing it is actually way, way more useful on an EUC than a bike where it really isn't a big deal to get at the inner tube. Very slight problem is it has been "Pre-order.now" for at least 6 months and the above website states: "You will be the first to patch in early 2016"! Unless it blows / rupture it will start loosing the pressure gradually so you should notice sudden change in ride condition and be able to slow down and stop before it becomes too flat to ride. Tim Koffler
I use Stan's Tire Sealant (No Tubes) in my X8. Over the last year I have changed my tire well over 15 times from flats...until I found Stan's. Since I injected One $5 bottle of Stan's into my X8 wheel I haven't had a single flat that I had to repair (twice I hit hard and the tire lost some air, but it was automatically resealed and I just pumped it up again. I tried Slime, Fix a Flat, adding a lining inside the tire, everything....Stan's was the last one I tried and I really doubt I will need to change another flat on my wheel again. http://www.notubes.com/2-ounce-Tire-Sealant-P154.aspx
