Luiz
I had a wonderful time riding in Paris on easter . I will go to Amsterdan this weekend and would love to ride my euc on the cycling lanes if possible . I would be very grateful if someone could give me some hints . Is it ok or should i rent a bike there instead ?
Popular Post Tomek
I'm riding in Amsterdam regularly since last summer and haven't had any problems so far. Bike lanes are most convenient, but sometimes I take shortcuts through pedestrian zones. EUCs are not a legally classified type of vehicles in the Netherlands, so they are (at least theoretically) treated same as e.g. roller skates. I chatted up police patrols about it too, they consistently said they don't see why they would want to stop me, but that you may be asked to step off the wheel if ordered by a policeman who decides you cause a risky situation (e.g. in a crowd of people). In such case you can resume riding when out of that situation. That said, you can of course always have bad luck and run into a cop who'll just want to make your life miserable for no good reason. Your wheel can also become confused with a "hoverboard", which are now illegal here. Also, you should be careful when riding around the strict city centre. Drunken or/and stoned tourists making unexpected movements are common, bikes and scooters don't obey any rules, and canals don't have fences... Most likely I'll be quite busy coming weekend, but drop me a PM anyhow and maybe we can meet for a short ride - I haven't encountered a single EUC rider in Amsterdam so far, so I'd really enjoy that (although I'm absolutely sure I've trigged many kids in my neighbourhood to heavily nag their parents to buy them wheels, so maybe the trend will start here too .') )

Luca Morello
Electric unicycle are not as widespread in the Netherlands even if they are sold. They can still move freely on the bike paths?how is the situation in other cities such as Groningen?
Juergen Weigert
Hey, I'll bring my Ninebot One to the EJC2016 in Almere this week. Looking forward to meet more EUCs there.
cloudust
I only ride at quite paths in Amstelveen so won't encounter too many cars. After all, I'm still a beginner.
Paddylaz
I love Amsterdam. One of the few places outside UK I could see myself living one day. Any of you guys take your wheel through Vondelpark? I can imagine that being prime euc material ?
Giffy
I was hoping there was a place to rent one for the day. I'm passing through at the airport

I appreciate it. Turns out, the country was closed. They wouldn't let me out of the airport.
