That's the thing.

There are factors that can skew the results.

Note: Zen Lee claims to be a paid racer. He is not a newbie. He also races on his Lynx.

Personally, I like to test ride a wheel before I buy it. I did that with my S16 Pro. No surprises. I am very happy with it. I didn't have to turn it Ito a "project wheel". It rode great the way it was.

I will attempt again to do the pull test on the v14 today or tomorrow. The problem i had last time was the tire kept spinning up and leaving burn marks on my new driveway. It also finally broke the para cord i was using to hitch it to the scale so maybe i can use cable this time. It certainly doesn't have the software limitations that the v13 has. Pretty sure i was pushing over 12kw when the rope broke.

It's not complicated- please go try it and tell us what you find!

Pull force and ride feel are very different things. 

If you haven't caused a pedal dip, then you haven't reached peak pull force.

And a 16" tire diameter will be more sensitive to rider body position, so comparing ride feel across different tire sizes is quite misleading.
It's why I recommend comparing machine performance using an objective metric like pull force.

Yup. Two people are required, for testing this modern batch of ~200lb stump pullers ;)

I did from the original 35psi down to 30 but i was leery about going to much lower, i didn't want to spin the rim on the tire and tear the valve stem but maybe a few pounds lower next time.

Concrete is also notably higher-mu than asphalt, might be time for a road trip to your nearest nicest parking lot.

I just wanted to comment to keep following this. This comparison sheet has always been greatly interesting to me, so I appreciate the effort to compile all this info together.

Who did the Lynx test? Would be interesting to see an updated test based on the new .12 firmware (330A).

I just did the levers for testing my prototype chain drive wheel. It's just testing platform, so it looks like crap but dont worry it's not how it will look (;

don't know yet, from calculations with current motor and gearing it should achieve only 130-140lbs but also keep in mind it's 24 inch outer diameter tire, with final gearing it should do simillar to ex30, if this project will prove to be reliable i will invest moretime, money and effort in it to finish whole euc and put much stronger motor which should do around 330lbs. That's on paper, we'll see. What do you mean grip height? axle height?

A facebooker correctly pointed out that if the handle is positioned any way other than horizontally, it will create additional forces on the rope, making the rope force unequal to the tractive force. 

So for my data using vertical handles, tractive force (the thing we really care about) will be slightly less than my measured rope force.
I think it doesn't change the meaning of the results: a relative comparison between EUC's. The ranking of models does not change.
But if we think about other people testing with their own DIY handles, "handle length matters." 

We'll just need to add two steps to the test process:

  1. Measure and record the vertical distance from the ground to the axle center (e.g.: the rope height, with a level pulling rope). 
  2. Measure and record the vertical distance from the ground to the center of where your hand grips the handle.

I'll add these to the page 1 procedure
