I'm running the dark layout on my One Plus 7 Pro, at maximum brightness.
Burning appeared after approximately 6 months, so about 350 hours of riding.
I'm using it as a dashboard. So constantly checking for speed and temperature (paranoid after V12 HS fried mobo).
That's the whole point of this app for me (aside from the CSV logs).
Hello,
Is there any option in EUC World to avoid screen burning ? Like changing text colour, maybe, to avoid activating blue pixels?
My phone is already nicely burnt, but I'd like to avoid this on the next one.
My first cutout was also at 59% battery. No bips, no alarm, still functional afterward.
PS: After 4 months, I still don't know the cause of the fried board, it's lawyer & insurance battle for now
I feels dumb for not having thought of this before. I could've warned him. Now it's too late indeed.
Thanks a lot, sadly I will not be able to ride for a whole year.
Yeah I don't know what component is this. I took back the wheel to the shop to get it analyzed (they sent me the photos). They will see what they can do with the importer. They should get back to me next week.
(My dispute is with the importer, not the shop. I bypassed the shop to get the wheel repaired more quickly taking an appointment directly with the importer.)
Anyway I'm studying my options to get compensated, it was a hard month. Still many months of rehab to do.
Thanks for the advices.
If it can help, I dented lightly my rim at 2.4 bar (34psi) taking a bad curb sub 10kpm. I usually ride at 2.9 bar (42psi), it's been great. (V12 HS, 95kg with gear)
Hi, I got a professional to open and check my V12.
I had a black replacement board, and 6 MOSFETs are dead (of 12).
Had to check with a voltmeter as nothing is wrong visually.
Thanks.
I saw the board quickly, and all I know it's that it did not came preinstalled on the heat sink like lastest boards. But the retailer assured me it was 130v MOSFETs.
Nope, my retailer took me an appointment in Belgium to get the board replaced by a professional.
I had my cutout and got hospitalised over there.
I'm scared to open the wheel and to compromise it in the case my insurance would want to inspect it. And for now I can't use my left arm so I'm physically incapable of doing so, still doing rehab.
I live in northern France and bought the wheel to High'tems through Mobility Urban store.
I used the warranty service to get the new board. When I got my second cutout they put the blame on me, or the road and refuse to accept a mechanical/electronic failure.
They are in bad faith, and say I lost control and the MOSFETs blown due to over demand during the fall.
So at the moment I'm with a dead wheel and a broken arm, waiting for the responses from my insurance and my retailer who want to earn nothing for weeks...
I was in off-road mode already.
I can't try anything anymore since the wheel is dead with probably blown MOSFETs. Can't open it yet since I'm waiting for the insurance.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Thanks for the reply.
It was not vibrating at all before I got the board replaced, and I got my cutout less than 5km after that.
I'm trying to figure out what happened.
At this point it's either a bad installation or a failing/damaged board I guess.
Hello, if a V12 is vibrating (a second) while changing direction (forward/backward) what does it means?
Is this the symptom of a failure somewhere?
I felt it when holding and moving the wheel by the trolley handle, just after getting the board replaced.
