Dr Mick
The Segway Ninebot app has been hacked. Security seems to have been non-existent. I wonder if Gotway, Kingsong and the others are just as vulnerable? I would hate to be speeding along on my EUC at close to 40 km/h and then have a hacker turn it of at full speed... https://www.wired.com/story/segway-minipro-hack/

The good thing is that gw, ks and the others cannot be remote controlled as a minipro. Don't know if an attacker could start a firmware update or calibration while one is riding - should be prevented by the firmware, but imho noone tried this by now... (as also the power button is disabled while riding...)
Dr Mick
I assume that the power bytton is only software disabled while riding? So, potentially, a hacker could upload new firmware to gain control over power as well??
