Tryptych
Any battery gurus here? Each of the four battery packs on the Hero has 4 wires going into it: two black, one red, and one thin white. For my own knowledge does anyone know what the purpose of each cable is? I would expect to find only negative and positive plus a BMS cable. Which is which - is the thin white cable for the BMS? Why are their two black cables?
mrelwood
The thin one is an interrupt cable, so that a failure or overvoltage in one pack can terminate charging of all packs at once. I don't know about the dual black ones, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's just to get more surface area for higher current handing. The red one is still alone and the weak link, but this is just a Begode after all...
alcatraz
What about charger input?

I'm guessing maybe 12 or 14 gauge? can anyone confirm? (I need to order wire so I can rewire my charge port, cables were damaged in a crash)
mrelwood
Wild guess would be 14, but don’t quote me on that. You can measure the diameter of the cable and look it up from a silicone cable size chart. They are freely available online.
