I SOLD MY MOTORBIKE FOR A VETERAN SHERMAN

you had me worried about your sanity for a minute. Turns out you sold a moped that LOOKS like a motorcycle, for an euc. In YOUR case, I'd say this is definitely an upgrade in fun. If your old moped was high build quality, man are you in for a shock! Welcome to the nuthouse!

keep in mind that @ShanesPlanet flys a bedsheet using a chainsaw motor... although I'd argue it sounds more like a leaf blower than a chainsaw mostly because it actually ran and didn't die three times.

Whereabouts are you in London? Have you joined any local rider groups yet?

Lol @ShanesPlanet, moped. 75mph so not quite a moped in the eyes of us over here but yeah I guess in the US anything less than 5 litres is a hedge trimmer :)

Hey Planemo, I'm in Wandsworth, you? I haven't joined any rider groups yet, any good London groups going? I'm thinking about spending the summer in summerset though but am for sure looking to meet up on some London rides in the future.

Glad you are enjoying it and you don't mind me pickin' at ya. I also am a long time moto bike rider. I stepped down from a collection of LARGE sport bikes to settle on a tiny drz400sm. THEN I got the euc bug. It is defniitely fun. I cant say its more fun than bikes. However, its more fun at the moment, because 30+ years of bikes, isnt as new and exciting as being a newbie on a magic carpet. Add in the fact that hardly anyone can ride these and it really does feel effortless. Well, I can see how a lot of people trade from bike to euc and vice versa. I still find it comical that I went from a cbr100XX to an mten. Obviously i had no image to protect and don't date anymore...

Don't legends have to be dead? If so, I'm not a legend, but there's always tomorrow. I do think you are confusing the term 'legend' for 'moron'. I assume spellcheck screwed it up... I like watching random riders and a lot of unpolished video. Sadly my internet is so slow that I can only watch low quality after buffering. But, I still try to binge when I can. I figure me watching vid in low quality is a good thing. Just like bad porn, you ugly bastards are easier to handle in low definition.

Not at all bud, yeah EUC's defiantly more fun for me at the moment like you said its just the effortless ride it just feels so good. I'm 20 years deep into Motorbikes and I'm not feeling it as much as I once did, but the thrill of doing 130mph on an R1 down the M25 in London will be with me forever and Legends never die mate, facts...

"you ugly bastards are easier to handle in low definition" eye of the beholder mate!! 🤣🤣🤣

When I was young, I started with Honda 750 Shadow which was boring, I switched to a Suzuki GSX 750 which was quite fun. But the real thrill of biking I felt on the back seat of a moto-taxi (a Gold Wing) in Paris taking me from airport to my destination. The EUC has a similar thrill (at least in the beginning), it is as dangerous, as crazy but not as lethal. Of course you can ride an EUC within reasonable and safe limits, but I have to admit, that sometimes I tend to ... .

Good decision!

P.S.: Fun fact, I owned later on one of the few electric motorbikes the Brammo, it was fun but it had less range than my sherman has now.

One thing that have have been worried about is that I know from riding motorbikes, I have a bit of an insane risk tolerance. Now on the Sherman I can feel that coming up, I want to push it more and more 😳 I am really having to hold myself back, Its not going to be long until the insanity starts to kick in again. 🤣🤣

200mph on a sportbike in jeans and no helmet... meh, no worries. Pushing the sherm to around 50mph=Full motosuit, helmet, wrists, still paranoid....  :roflmao: You arent the only one who says stupid sh*t like "i'll just keep it nice and easy", then proceeds to crank the head back with a maniac laugh and find yourself at warp speed shortly thereafter. Such good times, good times!

Of course the REAL daredevil in us all, doesnt stop to think about it long enough and just ride with whatever we have on and however we feel at the moment. :eff034a94a:

Very true I find that I am wearing more protection on my Sherman, doing 30mph than on my old bikes that I was doing 100mph on, maybe I'm just getting old.

All we can do is getting old, that is why we consider a EUC instead of skydiving, but the driving force behind is still the same.

You're crazy. Taking more risks was a new years resolution of mine as I get old. As far as skydiving... I did that first. Euc riding is MUCH harder on the body all around. Unless you mean skydiving w/o a chute. That is tougher on the bod, but will still hurt less than a bad euc event. Quit making excuses, old has nothing to do with it. :D

Im considering the same. Selling a 2020 bmw s1000rr to buy a Sherman as a second wheel.
I cannot find any roads that won’t get me in trouble on the bike where I live. Hard to ride sports bikes here with a big crackdown for everything bike related. I get no hassles EUC, I can get a decent lean in a corner, commute hassle free and low cost. I’m kinda getting the same buzz from my v11 on some little twisty runs.

bikes are great but hard to keep costs down with fines, rego, insurance. Maintenance etc

It is just so easier to fall and much more surprising :)

It is in reverse sometimes...

My risk inclination increases as I get old. Wonder what I'll do on 90... Depends of my technical condition, I guess :)

Anyways, at 46, I feel fully entitled to indulge in a second puberty.

Now is a good time to sell used motorbikes, especially an High end bike like a s1000rr. I didn't mention it in my Video but I sold my Bike for £100 more than I bought it for a year ago after putting 1k miles on it. Because of the Bug and global production issues, the used car / motorbike / bicycle markets are on fire.

🤣 90 year old EUC nut. I'm not sure my risk tolerance has increased as I got older, age 16/17/18 the way I rode motorbikes gives me flashbacks, makes that Ally Cat race in NYC look tame. The EUC is bringing that crazy kid back 😳
