Kingsong S18 won't display any stats on any program

If opened in kingsong app it says its it needs an update as it did not originally finish updating, however updating doesn't even start.

In Euc world or wheellog, it doesn't show any stats nor beep when connected.

Wheel functions otherwise just fine.

Is there a Hard reset or other step im not doing? After teardown and rebuild board inspection looks fine, solder joints intact, no blown caps,  xan be seen in bluetooth without issue Nd displays valid MAC adress. Pretty good with electronics but stumped. 

Any advice welcome, also willing to sell in San diego if someone else wants to try.
