Tryptych
If you were buying a V11 used or off AliExpress is there a way to tell which batch it is and if it has the bad bearings or the good ones? Is there anyway to tell purely by serial number?
mhpr262
As long as I didnt need to ride in the pouring rain, like the other guys did, I would actually prefer the old bearings - they have lower rolling resistance.

The only way to identify a batch version is to go though the Inmotion announcement thread. As of buying on aliexpress you should ask if it is global version. Inmotion do protect retailers home market. They do this to make local retailers invest and develop their market. So it is a give and take situation. People will have different opinions on this. It to me it makes sense, but the again as I worked in sales and now for an it brand these agreements are quite common.
