Exactly how much battery current are we talking about? (MSX electrical test)

For me it looks more like a battery protection circuit, but who knows? Detailed motherboard examination would give more details and clues about exact role of this circuit. IIRC this circuit is also present on Master mainboard.

That certainly looks like a shunt and an associated differential voltage amplifier component; I'm convinced it's for current measurement :) 

However, it's possible that it's only used for BMS shutoff (driving the white "CO" signaling wire), and may not be an input to the main micro. Stay tuned.
