AirWheel Mods

Has anyone done any mods to their Airwheels ?

I have only had mine (a Q3)  for about 4 weeks , I had it covered in that red sponge tape stuff to help prevent scratches and scraps when I started learning. I have since then gone over all the red foam with duct tape and then a layer of Camo Duct tape just to make it a bit more blokey,

Iam 60 after all and didn't really want to keep on riding a red " what the hell is that ? " as everyone seems to call it :-)

Oh and I have stuck some grip tape to the peddles and added a couple of lights to them as well just for fun when the grandkids ride it.

I noticed yesterday that because of the padding and cam tape on my Q3 the beeping when you reach 12 kph is really quiet, it was the first time I reached that speed :) and I was surprised how quiet they were. So I don't know if that is good or bad but I have heard a lot of people complaining about them and some even cutting the buzzer off.

Nice job on the Q3, I have a Q1, Everybody seems to think the beeping is anoying, I do agree as the better you get the more you will hear it, some snip the wire going to the beeper. I also have an Airwheel X8, that I like but I just fell deeply in love with the Gotway Msuper V2, oh man it's like a Cadillac lol.
