CaptainKBLS
I'm a new rider to the ACM16. I used this knee strap brace around the bottom of my calf. For now, I can't ride without it. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PA4XCBU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=
mrelwood
Some riders here use soccer shin protectors turned to the inside of the shin for this. I think the issue is in the EUC design. If the shin contact of an EUC is too low, the force when mounting is so high and focuses on a small spot that pain can't be avoided. I actually couldn't mount unassisted until I made extensions to the wheel's side pads to rise the contact spot and to spread the contact area. I have made them to all my wheels. It does hinder the tightest manoeuvres somewhat, but they can be relearned, and very much worth it in my book. Even the famous baby bumper strip is good for this, just add several layers if needed.
