Popular Post Rawnei
For me the future is suspension, I knew this already from the short period I owned a V11 (which I did not keep for other reasons), thus not only do I own an S22 which I'm super happy with but I'm also investing in a Begode Master to accompany my S22, two wheels that after some modifications to their respective suspension systems are great suspension wheels that unlocks new potential and enjoyment. So here is my first foray into various 3D printed accessories for the Begode Master, all uploaded to Thingiverse so that anyone with a 3D printer can download and print them if they like. One question that has come up a lot of Facebook when I post these sort of things is if I can print and send prints to people who don't own a printer but alas I don't provide printing services so you will have to solve that part yourself, these accessories are on a non-commercial license, that means they can not be sold as is but can still be printed by anyone who offers printing as a service. Begode Master Fender (Kuba/Torque Pads Compatible) https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5505878 A replacement fender for the stock fender on the Begode Master, there are 2 versions available, Stock Link compatible and Kuba/Torque Pads Link compatible, both should be printed in TPU. Stock Link Version "Master_Fender_Long_Back.stl": This version is compatible with stock linkage from Begode and replaces the stock fender if you need a replacement for any reason, it's a bit longer than the stock fender so it should thus also give a little bit better protection. If you print and mount this version together Kuba Linkage there will be rubbing against the tire on the back if you do jumps or stairs or similar things that will fully compress the shock. Kuba/Torque Pads Link compatible Version "Master_Kuba_Compatible_Fender_Short_Back.stl": I'm not a fan of the stock suspension arms on the Begode Master and how easily the Master bottoms out so when I ordered my Master I did so only because the Kuba suspension arms (same as torque pads version) which would also be my highest priority and first upgrade to the Master in combination with a Rockshox shock. The Kuba suspension arms however requires that you either cut the stock metal-fender by 4cm in the back or remove it entirely altogether or else there will be rubbing or worse, instead of doing that I designed a new 3D printed option so that length and function will not be a problem. I compensated the short length in the back by making this version of the fender a bit longer in the front. Kuba Splash Protector "Kuba_Splash_Protector.stl": This is an optional addon for the Kuba link arms that you place on the link arms themselves to help with mud splashing up on the shock due to the short length of the fender, it's designed so that it holds itself onto the link arms no adhesive needed. The photos are a bit outdated and the newest version of the splash protector offers even greater protection you can see this when looking at the 3D model. Begode Master Charging Cap Rain Cover https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5506165 The Begode Master is decently waterproofed, at least in a way that it will withstand riding in rain, well at least for the most part that is. The cover over the charging ports sits lowered into a recess that will collect and pool water from rain, water in the charge ports is bad but even more so is that the areas surrounding the charge ports also goes directly nto the rest of the controller board, this is a bizarre and puzzling design decision (or lack of design?) on Begodes part. This simple cap sits on top of the stock charging cap and bridges the recess so that water will not flow directly down into it. Begode Master Kickstand https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5505862 A kickstand for the Begode Master to replace the two tiny rubber squares that comes with the wheel. I made this kickstand a bit wider and taller to make it more stable when the wheel rests on the stand and also to act in tandem with the mudguard to further prevent splashing backwards on fellow riders. My personal opinion is that it also looks pretty mean. 2023-04-07: Added a mudflap extension for my Master kickstand, I noticed that even with a very big mudguard on the Master there is enough space below the kickstand for the tire to splash water and dirt upwards towards yourself and on people behind you so I made this mudflap extension that adds onto my kickstand, you plug it into the lower mounting holes and screw it in place like you would the kickstand. Print in TPU and it will be soft enough to bend when you park the wheel on the kickstand or if the mudflap hits any obstacle it wont be a problem. Begode Master Mudguard https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5517321 An alternative mudguard for the Begode Master, this mudguard is quite big (about 230mm in length) and also quite wide since the Master is a bit open in the back. Begode Master Seat Addon https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5529643 A seat addon for the Begode Master. As a seasoned seated rider the first thing I noticed when I rode seated on the Master is the low sitting position, it felt like I was being back on my old MSP with knees up in the air in full circus riding position which isn't super comfortable on your legs or on your back. So I designed this seat both to raise the seated position and also to make it even more cushier than the stock seat foam pad. This seat is 7cm high from the base but the idea is that you print it with a cushy enough infill so that it will compress a bit when you sit and thus make seated riding very comfortable overall. Seat is attached with velcro to on top of the foam cushion, see photo for example. The idea of having a small hook in the back where you can attach a string that is also attached to the wheel comes from myself off-roading frequently, if you drop the wheel in certain scenarios it's possible that the seat will detach from the wheel and a string will make it so that it doesn't roll away from your wheel for example down a hill, this is purely optional and doesn't have to be used at all. Begode Master Parking Stand https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5661952 A parking stand for the Begode Master. The Begode Master has a built in kickstand but putting it on a stationary stand will make it take up less space in your home or storage area. This stand is designed in such a way that most of the weight from the wheel will actually rest on the ground via the tire that rests on a TPU cushion so that the stand does not need to support the full weight of the wheel. Begode Master Rear Led Light Mount https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5680992 A replacement mount for the rear led light on the Begode Master. There are two problems with the stock mount for the rear light: A ) It's made of a stiff and fragile plastic that breaks easily and is in such a position on the wheel that it can happen easily from just dropping the wheel on it's side never-mind a slow speed crash, this replacement mount when printed from TPU will be hard to break since it's flexible and can easily be replaced if needed. You can print this mount to either replace an already broken stock mount or just to preemptively avoid it all together. B ) The stock LED mount is made of a thick tinted plastic that dims the LED and makes it much less visible to the point of almost not visible at all, this replacement mount does not cover the LED and since the LED strip on the Master already comes inside a diffuser made out of silicone having the diffuser exposed will give the rear light a really nice bright and soft visible glow, this makes a big difference in visibility (plus it looks much cooler). Begode Master Trolley Handle Operational Fix https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5797245 The Trolley Handle on the Begode Master has two very common problems Sometimes the mechanism that lets you move the trolley handle after pushing the button gets stuck in a detracted position after moving the trolley handle so that it doesn't fully lock in place again, once this happens you have to take the whole trolley handle out. Other times the whole mechanism is locked so that you can not unlock and move the trolley handle at all. This small 3D print fixes the former problem and possibly it could help with the latter as well but I can not verify that, overall what this does is to make the small pin inside the bottom mechanism operate smoother and not get stuck. Begode Master Bearing Waterproofing Seal https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5798147 2023-03-15: Complete redesign of this seal, it's smaller and more simple with the goal of not trapping any water and avoid rubbing against motor cover all together, this new version stops short before motor cover instead of extruding over it so that water can splash, drip and move past it. Due to this complete redesign it no longer support the "lazy" version installation, to install this seal you need to disconnect the motor cable. A waterproofing seal for the bearings on the Begode Master. The idea behind this seal is to add an extra barrier of protection outside the bearing with a layer of grease between them to further prevent water and dirt from reaching the bearing seal. Begode Master Bushing Stabilizers https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5799376 The Master suspension has a lot of tolerance between the bushings and the pipe that they move on causing the suspension to feel "loose", Begode has added 4 small screws that you can adjust to tighten the bushings against the pipe but these are problematic for a couple of reasons: 1) It's difficult to adjust all 4 of these screw perfectly, if you tighten them to much it will cause friction and suspension will be noticeable more stiff 2) The screws push the bushing from one direction making it oval and also risk damaging them. These "stabilizers" is a ring that pushes the bushing from all directions and I've measured and tested them so that the bushings are as tight as they can be without adding friction. This was an original idea by Emanuele "@EMA" Tomasello who made a similar 3D design however I found that those did not work so well for me but I was intrigued by the idea so I measured my wheel and did a lot of tests, for one thing the upper and lower bushings need different sizes as the lower bushings are pushed in with countersunk screws while the upper ones are held in place by the suspension bridge giving them different tolerances, these stabilizers are also slightly bigger than the ones EMA made, the upper one is 2.5mm in height while the lower one is 1.5mm, both are 34.2mm in diameter and 0.75mm thick but gradually getting smaller from one end to the other. Grimm10
I had just noticed your 3d prints on Thingiverse earlier today. Great job on your designs. I haven't gotten my Master yet, but have printed a couple of items weeks ago, like a kickstand and rear bumper. I am concerned about the front headlight though and the current options on Thingiverse for a front bumper isn't conducive to the stock pads setup. Did you design a front bumper or grab handle that would protect the front end without having to cut/remove the stock pads?

For that one thing I'm actually going with the Grizzla fairing system and bumpers, I have a small printer so not reasonable for me to design a fairing system so I opted to get a ready made package for that. BillyKo
Anyway you could 3d print a trolley handle?... The trolley poles are good enough to hold the weight of the master, but not the actually hollow plastic handle. It's beyond me why Begode would even consider using a handle so flimsy. I live in a 5th floor walk up, and I carry my master up 5 flights of stairs, and though I have the entire Grizzla Fairing and Flow Pad Kit, it's easier carrying it up stairs with one hand on the trolley handle and the other hand pulling on the railing as I climb the stairs. I tried carrying it by the bumper(s) but it so much harder and exhausting, and you get your pants dirty from all the crud your pedals picked up from riding. I personally didn't think the trolley handle was going to last so I bought a couple spare handles, but it did better than expected, as I've been carrying the master up the stairs by the original handle for the 2.5 months I've had it. However, I recently noticed a little stress fracture on it, and given the master isn't the most rugged in terms of handling light drops, I prefer not to risk it, so I've been carrying it up with one hand on the front bumper, and the other hand pulling on the stair railing as I climb the stair, which is very awkward since the master is top heavy. I love my apartment in NYC and EVERYTHING is conveniently close to me, but I've actually considered moving to an elevator building, since none of the lower floors in my building have any vacant apartments, because the master is my main form of trasportation. To give you an idea why I have an EUC as my main form of transport... Parking fees in NYC cost at the very least, as much, if not more than an actual car payment. Not to mention insurance, inspections and registration fees. There is a way to not pay to for parking fees and that would consists of you getting to your neighborhood, and driving around the block, over and over and over, HOPING you'll find a spot within a reasonable distance (10 blocks - equivalent to 1 mile) and time (within 1.5hrs), and when you do find parking, you have to get up by 6am the next day to go and move your car so the city can come to sweep the street your cars parked on, and then do the whole process of finding another spot, but by the time you find a spot, it's already time for work... Get my drift? 😂 With all that said, if anyone could figure out a way to print a trolley handle so I don't have deal with all this bullshit of constant switching of trolley handles, I would greatly appreciate it, and will reward you with a nice financial sum, as long as it lasts and can withstand the weight of the master without having to replace it more than once. Sorry for the diatribe, but I wanted to get the point across that I desperately need a better alternative to that bullshit handle Begode has on ALL of their wheels regardless of weight, since I have to carry one of those wheels up 5 flights of stairs. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope to hear from someone who's up for the task soon. 😁 Edited December 7, 2022 by BillyKo I'm an OCD perfectionist, and HAD to fix that Typo

This is the curse of the Master a lot of things is very flimsy and weak. Edited December 7, 2022 by Rawnei

Grimm10
I printed this handle from Thingiverse that was designed for the Master Pro. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5612903 It still fits using 2 of the 3 mounting holes, which in fact makes it somewhat modular, as you can mount it using either the front 2 screw holes or the back 2 holes. Mounting it using the front 2 holes makes it sturdier, imo.

Protects the top pad and screen and buttons; I bet that stops those flying off in those horrible tumble crashes, as they tend to do without it. AND gives you something easily reachable to grab onto during sloped dismounts ! I presume my impending Grizzla fairing setup and front / rear bumpers precludes the fitting of this, but if I hadn't gone that way I can see the ways this could be better / or additonal. Rawnei
Begode Master Bearing Waterproofing Seal https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5798147 A waterproofing seal for the bearing on the Begode Master. Notice: This is a work in progress, meaning it's my first time designing a waterproofing seal and that only time can tell how well it will work to protect the bearing. Consider this when printing and using this that it needs to be time proven but personally I believe in this concept. The small rubber part of the RS seals that we have on our wheels is usually not enough to protect the bearing and it's not uncommon for riders to get dirt or water inside the bearing causing rust and/or grinding noises over time. The idea with this seal is to protect the outside of the bearing with an extra layer of marine grease or other suitable type of grease and a cover that prevents that grease from being openly exposed and keeping it in place. 2
