No, EUC World can't update Inmotion wheels. This feature would require agreement between me and Inmotion to access their firmware server, but apparently Inmotion is not interested in adding firmware update support to apps other that their own. The problem is that Inmotion app is fully dependent of their servers, so in case of connectivity problems (which often are unreliable), Inmotion app doesn't even connect to the wheel, not mentioning being able to update the firmware.

What if when i get my V12 in about 10 days, i get the inmotion app to connect thru a wireshark virtual connection and catch the headers and binaries and we make a custom one? 😅😜😁

What do you say @Seba ?

We can run a local dns server and redirect the request when it's time for the binary to our own or a local one, that way serving properly downloaded 100% firmware instead of one fetched over the internet.

Does anyone knows will 1.5.4 be available in the future?

I get info from my seller that it is unavailable at the moment an it is inmotion decision. Can someone or someone from inmotion side can comment on this? Is it temporary decision or not?

Are you on android or iOS? I read that updates are temporarily disabled from iOS devices while inMotion troubleshoots the app. (Some wheels broke while updating from apple devices)

No i am android user but as i understand updates are disabled for all users. Just question how long it will be like that?

At least you have a working wheel 🙂

They disabled it after 5 wheels bricked themselves while updating all in one day. Mine included.

Annoying all around. I remember eagerly wanting the new firmware for the features it had. I don’t think anyone knows when they’ll enable it again but I heard inmotion is taking this very seriously and has a team looking into why these wheels died and what the root cause is. I haven’t sent back my board though so not sure exactly how they’re doing that.
