Smoop
So I just finished putting a new tyre on my V8F and went outside to give it a test run and almost ate the dirt a couple of times in 2 minutes. I have done 3000km on the last tyre and believe I am pretty good at riding my wheel. Slight turns under power makes the wheel feel like it is going to twist underneath me and flip me off. Do I just need to run the tyre in a little bit for it to settle down ? It doesnt feel at all like my wheel anymore lol. mrelwood
Which tire did you install? What pressure are you using and how much do you weigh? Did you check the tire alignment by lifting the wheel for a free air spin?

It was the little rubber spikes on the outside of the new tyre causing my problem, once I was more gentle on the wheel for half an hour and had ripped all of them off I got full control back. Pretty amazing how those little fuckers affected the wheels dynamic.
Unventor
Most tires feel a little different until they worn and they is worked a bit on the wheel. Once the surface is "ruffed" up a little it starts to get a more natural feel. The effect can be anything to extreme grippy or slippery.
