Battery Recharging Advice Needed

I'm not a li-ion battery expert, but I'm sure that many of you are.

I did a test home-work commute today on my Sherman. It was cold and I went fast when I could. I arrived at work (30km) with 70%/93.3V of the battery remaining.

Obviously, I have more than enough battery to get me back home after work.

My question is, is it better to recharge at work and then again when I get home (again, at 70%), or should I only charge once at the end of the day (when I'm at 40%)?

Which is better for the battery (and why)?

Cheers.

You'll be most likely below 40%. At lower voltages charge should decrease faster... At least because for the same power more electric charge is needed.

But in any case safety margin decreases with battery voltage.

"Used full" charge cycles should be about the same.

Beeing around medium charge is what li.ion like most.

With low charge and low temperatures the cells could be forced to low voltages under higher burdens - stressing them. As charging full at work does.

So i'd choose my personal safety.

For the battery, there is virtually no difference.

For the rider's safety, there is a very slight difference (it's a yuge 3100wh pack, after all).

So I'd choose based on convenience: don't bring a charger to work ;)

Ha, ha. You read my mind. The intent of my question was to help decide whether I needed to buy an extra charger to keep at work or not.
