dmethvin
This article (which is incredibly long and detailed) has a bunch of things you can look for in the construction of the battery that tells you who made it, rather than just looking at the plastic wrapper. http://batterybro.com/blogs/18650-wholesale-battery-reviews/30828867-is-it-a-fake-18650-battery-featuring-the-samsung-25r
Josh
@esqueue I mean I know people who have purchased a quality board so I don't think "under $500" is unsafe. I think I'll just check the battery and if its legit then yay and if not ill return the board and get another one. Not worth going through the whole battery replacement if I can just get another board. Because if I do just replace the battery not only do I have to wait for it to be shipped but I'll have to install it. Mine as well return board and get a safe, certified board.
