Han Vo
So my buddy crashed his v8. Now the power button doesn't work, its just on always. He unplugs the power to the mother board then waits a while then plugs it in and it comes back on. Can't be turned off but doesn't engage the motor, the diagnostic came back with sensor and a weird clock. Can someone please give me a hand? redsnapper
from my work on cpl v8s - the power button is a simple pressure switch - unplug from controller end - plug batt in - does unit autopower on? if yes suggests damaged controller (since unit is coming on without connection to power button). If not check continuity of power switch line with DMM - if no continuity through power on cycle then something in that line (wiring or switch itself ) is blasto. if always continuity through power on cycle then short circuit in wires (trace, isolate shorted area)... otherwise someone with good electronics chops like @RagingGrandpa or @Seba might be able to help... RagingGrandpa
Sensor board fault. External clock fault. Motor will not activate. That's physical impact damage. Awesome that inmo reports their faults in a sensible way! New board time.
