  1. I had to disable "battery optimization" for the LK app in order for it to work.
  2. SOLD Selling my max. I got it last August from aliexpress, and it's been a flawless performer. My knees just can't handle the combination of heavy leg days, racing bicycles, AND riding a non suspension wheel. Some dings and scratches from low speed newbie tumbles before I knew what I was doing. No high speed crashes, never ridden in rain. I ride mostly asphalt, some smooth gravel roads, but no trail riding, and the rim has never had a dent. Comes with a luna seat, nylonove pedals (stock ones too if you want them), 3d printed pads and bumpers as pictured, and an unmounted IRC NR77T street tire. I wanted to try the street tire, but I couldn't justify mounting it before the knobby one was worn out. Prior to this soggy summer, I was regularly taking this on long cruises and it has reliably eaten up the miles just like the Shermax is known to do. Local pickup would be awesome, but if you pay shipping, I'll ship. Comes with the stock charger as well
  3. That wheel was crying to slow down.
  4. My gf has a 16x, and the app is very useful. The sherman doesn't have a companion app other than the firmware updater that I know of. The wheel beeps pretty loudly. But with a full face helmet, it could be better. Since opening this thread, I've looked at past rides in darknessbot and seen 90+% pwm, which I would imagine is flirting with disaster. Even so, I've only heard single beeping from the wheel, so I feel like I'm getting mixed signals. Maybe I'm actually not even close to the limit, but bumps in the road are putting it into beep territory.
  5. Oh interesting! I've only encountered the single beeping.
  6. I live in a rural area with little traffic and long roads, and I tend to ride my sherman max at relatively high speeds for long stretches. Is riding constant beeps at over 38-40 mph just life with a sherman? It feels a bit like the "boy who cried wolf", as I'm quite used to the beeps now and I have no idea how close I am to the wheel's limit. Is there a better way than the wheel's beeps to be alerted of the headroom left? I admit I'm not too familiar with darkness bot, but I do have it downloaded.
  7. My girlfriend and I play occasionally. I played a bunch about 25 years ago, and took a long hiatus. We picked it back up together about 2 years ago. Getting back into it was eye opening. Lots of new and complicated mechanics! Super fun though.
  8. I've been using Garmin edge cycling computers for years now. I'm currently using an edge 530 for GPS, speed, and rear facing radar notifications with a 3d printed wrist mount. Having a connect iq app with euc data would be fantastic though!
  9. My tire is the original knobby, and inflated to the tire recommended 33psi for this test (bouncy on the rough roads around here). I've seen motorcycle speedometers have near 10% optimistic error in the past, and I wasn't sure if it was prevalent in EUCs as well. I even sometimes change tire size (aspect ratio) on my cars to more closely match GPS averages. I'd have to get a 5% taller tire to rectify this, I wonder if they make one and if it would rub the housing. Maybe pumping it up to 50psi would help 😂😂😂
  10. Has anyone done tests on multiple wheels regarding mileage/speedometer error? My sherman max has a 5.1% optimistic speedometer/odometer, tested against a Garmin Edge 530 cycling computer, my car odometer, and my phone. This seems excessive, is this amount of error known and accepted in the euc world?
  11. @Rawnei your modular front bumper has saved the front end of my shermax multiple times during my trip up the euc learning curve. It's been a tough wheel to learn on, but at least it's protected! I've considered downloading and modifying your headlight surround to include an "eyebrow" that stops the light beam from blinding oncoming traffic. I actually just designed a printable clip on sherman seat that I remixed from a thingiverse file. It's going to be a really long print though....
  12. Through much trial and error I was able to dial in some decent TPU settings, and printed bumpers and power pads! TPU is amazing. It feels weird to pull a rubbery print off the bed! I've still got some blobbing here and there, but I think that's due to retraction settings not being perfect. TPU retraction is tough to nail down on a delta with a long Boden tube.
