IainC
Quick question to all of you who are much better than me at unravelling the intricacies of apps... my currrent InMotion app informs me every time I start it that there's a new version available (2.1), but if I download it via the app, or grab the apk from the InMotion website, it either gives me 'package installer failed to run' or 'invalid parsing of package' on my Android phone running Nougat (7.1). Any ideas on (a) whether there are actually any significant improvements to the app or (b) how I can resolve these errors? My usual thanks to members of the forum who always enrich my wheeling experience!
em1barns
Hi, Same thing for me on Android 6/M, got prompted that a new version was available (6.2.1), downloaded it and installation failed . This is the first time a new version installation failed for me. The new version had a new security requirement on android to modify system parameters , seems fishy. . . Snurre
Maybe you want to see @HEC's review of the new version before continuing. 7 hours ago, HEC said: There was new Inmotion app released yesterday (6.2.1) with new / redesigned SCV screen... Don't know how to do cross-thread quoting but it is here.
Boxer Rebellion
try deleting your current version of the inmotion app, then download and open the new version. I did this and it worked for me.
em1barns
@Boxer Rebellion, it was as simple as that, and it did the trick, thanks!
