Marty Backe
Join us this Saturday morning at the base of Griffith Observatory. We'll meet in the parking lot just north of the Greek Theater for departure at ~9am. The ride will take us up to the Observatory and then will follow the mountain trails/roads to a visit of the Hollywood Reservoir. There will be plenty of opportunities to test your regenerative charging ability.
Marty Backe
@jrkline and @noisycarlos joined me for the ride today. We started at 9am at the base of Griffith Observatory. @jrkline and myself rode up to the observatory and then took some steep horse/walking trails down to the Hollywood Hills neighborhood and road around the reservoir. @noisycarlos joined us when we reached the bottom of the mountain because he's riding a Ninebot, and it didn't have the range for the entire trip. @noisycarlos guided us around the neighborhoods and reservoir. Only once were we gently harassed around the reservoir - apparently we qualify (in his mind) as a motor vehicle, so we were escorted out. @jrkline and myself then headed back up the mountain which took a bit of doing, but we made it. Then rode the back roads down. A total of 27 miles and ~4500 of elevation gain. An impressive and fun day. Come join us next time, and become a SCUM (Southern California electric Unicycle Member) - acronym by @jrkline
