Dan2x Posted July 30, 2023 Share Posted July 30, 2023 Hi, my friend and I both have S18s with the standard wall socket charger. We have tried to run the charger/S18 from inverters plugged into our cars that are running. My inverter is 600W modified sinewave (runs all my other electronic chargers?) My friends is a 600W/1200W surge pure sinewave inverter. Both do not work. The green light comes on 2 seconds later it goes red then the inverter fails. Have tried different sequences of powering up. While this is well below capabilities of both inverters, this means that inverter will draw about 20 Amps from 12V DC source. This may lead to voltage drops, causing inverter to fail.
