Veteran Patton Street Review

Jalious

Recommended Posts

At Ride One, we wanted to see how the Patton held up to real street riding scenarios. We collected some of the fastest and most technical street riders in our home city of Toronto to put it to the test. It's maneuverability, carving, acceleration, suspension (This really gets tested in downtown Toronto) and everything else you could possibly want to know. There's even some track carnage that we captured by pushing wheels to their limits. We hope you enjoy!

This guy is 100% correct. I'm a bit pissed off:

Please stop trying to be "cool" on social media like a couple of preteens.

Personally I don't have a problem with the lane splitting, it's legal in California at least, and filtering through stopped or nearly stopped traffic is standard motorcycle stuff. The carving around through oncoming lanes (with no traffic) is not great but not nearly as bad as some of the stuff coming out of NYC. I guess the expectations might be higher over there.

Just an observation.

I suppose it speaks to the enthusiasm people have for this wheel. It seems to fill a void for the smaller/faster EUC some people are looking for . It also seems to highlight the fact that only "old curmudgeons" like myself are the only ones getting all worked up over the foolish/reckless riding displayed in the video.

Something something youth lacking wisdom, true today as it ever was.

Frankly we could use a lot more old curmudgeons to keep the morons excessively exuberant and youthfully enthusiastic in line

Since the number remains small, it is more expedient to just ban electric wheels altogether.

The last thing the electric wheel community needs are riders riding recklessly and filming themselves and be used as evidence and give the public reasons to support banning electric wheels.

Everyone that I know who don't ride, thinks electric wheels are dangerous. And every stramger who come up to talk to me, who was not interested in learning how to ride, think they are dangerous. That is like almost everyone.

On the radio talk show, two professional drivers called in complaining about the reckless euc riders that they have encountered.

It seems so easy for the government officials to garner public support to ban electric wheels.

im pretty sure thats their sole purpose, to fuel the viewing counter... dont mistake a high viewer count as justification for their actions.  it only indicates the number of fans who enjoyed the video.  it doesnt indicate that they condone their actions... its meat for the youtube grinder, ...

The police department needs to recruit these guys @Jalious for chasing down criminals.

dont worry, with the material in this video,  they wont be hiring them,  they will be ticketing them... and perhaps EMS may be taking care of their injuries too...
