EUCRookie
Why would Kingsong install a red light that we can hardly see inside a machine? Is it cause for concern or normal? Photo of light: https://ibb.co/JQVpr7X

RockyTop
Yes it is normal. Lights are found on most electronic boards. The real issue is that the outer plastic is translucent. They likely did not expect that. Red plastic is almost always translucent … Black not so much. Edited October 8, 2021 by RockyTop
Scottie
I noticed this light when I 1st got the 16X (Jan 2020) and used it for a while before putting the Roll NZ cover on. The light was on after charging. My 1st troubleshooting solution was to turn the wheel on then off. The red light turned off then. The purpose of the light is answered here and here. I also noticed the same behavior with the tail light of the 18XL during and after charging. Again, turning the wheel on/off after charging turns the light off. I have had no problems since and made a habit to cycle the wheel on/off after charging ... which is pretty much mandatory with the 18XL due to that obvious tail light. But the light inside the 16X can be missed. Marty also made a video on the subject.
