SlowMo Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 Single wheel hoverboards are now fast appearing on the market. There are now 3 types manufactured in china. It appears that these hoverboards are not self balancing and require a different approach which requires the rider to balance on all four sides. This particular model has a 10 inch wheel with 67v 170wh Panasonic battery and is made from imported Canadian maple wood.
HIPPO Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 IAM quite interested in the board. But 170Wh is not enough for me. The manufacturer indicates 25 km range. I doubt it. In real conditions use, you can expect no more than 10km.
SlowMo Posted January 17, 2016 Author Posted January 17, 2016 I can see that you were looking at the Ebay auction which is not from the manufacturer . Do not believe the Ebay seller if he states that a 170wh battery can last 25 kilometers. Normally, it should be 1 km per 10 wh max = 17 km max mileage. Therefore it should be good to last around 13-15 km for a 60kg person.
Jean eRide.ie Community Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 Yes I've seen some of those too, they are a copy of the hoverboard.com one and Onewheel. Here some pictures of other Chinese models: Best keywords I found to find them on Taobao: 懸浮電動滑板
Jesse Jin Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 F-wheel is also selling this, please kindly have a look, the same kind, http://www.fwheel.cc/Product-Self-Balancing-Electric-Unicycle/One-Wheel-Hoverboard-X2.html
