Popular Post mrelwood
A person in the Inmotion Telegram chat just posted a short video to show the new seals on the replacement motor he received. The seals seem to utilize the same basic idea that VasekPro has provided us with the 3D-printable seals he designed and genorously shared at Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4741590 Can't wait to see the Inmotion seals opened up to see precisely how they are constructed. Hint hint... Anyway, this might be the solution many of us have been waiting for. This might even make the V11 bearing issues a thing of the past. mrelwood
Ok, this is a bit embarrassing. I was way too fast to celebrate. It seems that the seals were simply Vasek's seals printed and installed by the seller themselves before shipping the motor to the customer.
mhpr262
WTF can you print RUBBER objects?!
mrelwood
Not real rubber, but elastic polyurethane, which behaves similarly. Edited March 31, 2021 by mrelwood
