Popular Post Tawpie
it’s not “protective gear” so starting here, feel free to move if needed. My fingers freeze with gloves, and mittens just work better. But then I have to take them and the wrist guards off to do anything at all—solution: ice fishing gloves! They work surprisingly well, fingers do get cool but not frozen and they fit nicely in my wrist guards. A smidge too tight in my flexmeters, but the flexmeters are sized for no gloves and too expensive to replace (naive when I bought them, and it was summer) KastKing PolarBlast Ice Fishing Gloves Convertible Mittens - Cold Weather Fishing Mittens and Fingerless Gloves with 3M Thinsulate - Winter Fishing Mi https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08K8XW6SL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_w2al2mO7D5y7e
YohannFrankfurderIII
This seems like a reasonable plan. Did you up size when you purchased the mittens? Thanks!
Tawpie
I got the “correct” size, they’ve worked out very well. I keep them in the eWheels wrist guards, pull them on and tighten the upper (armside) strap. Love it that I can work a hanky and work the phone without having to undo all the dadgum Velcro. Too much Velcro now, I get stuck to myself all too often.
Dgar
I've used mittens like this for camping and rock climbing in the late fall for years. They are awesome. I used to put one of those heating packets in the finger cover to keep my fingers warm when it was really cold out. It worked great. I'm going to have dig mine out for this winter. Good call.
