MoscowGab
Hello everyone! This is my first post in this forum. So far I have read a lot here, and found countless useful information. Thanks for that !! I've been driving a Ninebot S2 for a few weeks now. It's a lot of fun, but the wheel is way too weak, so I need something better. After a lot of research I came to the conclusion that it has to be a KS16x. I have found a used wheel, which is available for 65 000 rubel (about 1000$). It seems to me to be an unbeatable price, but I have hardly any idea. Unfortunately I can't see it for myself, so I want to be very careful. What do I have to watch out for? One thing that makes me think is that the seller destroyed the LEDs when changing the wheel. Could other parts have been damaged? I thank you for your help! Greetings, Gabriel

Afai read here there are (at least?) two motherboard versions. One should also check the serial number - if it's from an official reseller or from aliexpress/etc. Firmware upgrades/?some settings? are not possible with inofficial versions. 7 hours ago, MoscowGab said: One thing that makes me think is that the seller destroyed the LEDs when changing the wheel. Could other parts have been damaged? Yes. Every other wire could be pinched, for example. Most probably this should lead to quite immedeate malfunction - but erratic or delayed malfunctions could happen, too.
Skecys
If the leds are just not connected or something I wouldn't worry too much. If however he did something that rendered them "dead" I would be suspicious. Either way at that price you should not expect a pristine wheel
MoscowGab
Thanks for your quick answers! @Chriull how can I find out which version the wheel have? @Skecys he says that he ripped in two pieces. Sounds like as if he hadn't been squeamish. I see you got the same wheel. Is it complicated to fix? just got some screenshots out of the app. everything seems legit. The serial number on the wheel is the same. Also got an receipt from ecodrift, a known russian retailer. Could anybody how has that wheel take a quick look at the screenshots. It's only on russian but the layout should be the same. https://ibb.co/2YN0sq4https://ibb.co/Lvqs4t1https://ibb.co/Jns4dRqhttps://ibb.co/nQYkdJc

If it reaches about 84V. 53 minutes ago, MoscowGab said: how can I find out which version the wheel have? Imho just looking at the motherboard if ?1.4 or 1.5? Is written on it. But i don't really know diffrences of the board versions. For the "selling" agent the serial number could help: https://eunicycles.eu/news/jak-dekodowa-nr-seryjny-monocykli-king-song But i neither know which selling agent codes are for chinese wheels inofficially sold via aliexpress. Either way if you do buy it I suggest you open it up and check all the connectors.
