Breadsticks
So I bought a 67v ACM from my good buddy chooch (choochtech on YouTube) and have had a great time with it, I’m riding it more than my esk8s! Anyways, had a nasty crash. And now every once in awhile when I’m holding it still or try to mount it, it starts going back and forth and sputtering. I keep feeling like it’s getting looser or something. Any advice? A new shell is 280 bucks, that’s like 70 bucks less than I paid for the entire wheel! A msx is on the want list but I want to continue to ride this. I did ride it around and it was fine other than some weird noises. Are these common issues?
meepmeepmayer
That would be a typical symptom of a loose board. If the board can move in relation to the the pedals/pedal hangers (on which you stand and with which you control the wheel), that movement interpreted as input! That's why the wheel sputters - the board is moving slightly. Make sure the board is absolutely firm in the shell, and make sure the shell is firmly not moving compared to the pedals/pedal hangers. You don't necessarily need a new shell, or if the damage is severe, maybe you can repair it. The board is behind the right side panel. Have a look.
wheelr
Chooch rides hard 💨 As you fix the board per Meep's advice, it might be a good idea to make sure everything else is tight and use threadlock where needed. Safe riding 👍🏻
