KS-18XL won’t connect to iOS Kingsong app [Solved]

The Kingsong iOS app v1.3 used to connect to my 18XL flawlessly, but after returning from a one month vacation, the app can no longer complete the connection. It’s just stuck “connecting...”

I’ve tried the DarknessBot app, which used to work as well, but now it can’t connect either.

Both apps are able to detect the Bluetooth presence of the 18XL, providing the option for connection, but can never complete the connection. I only run one app at a time, closing the other to avoid app conflict.

 

SOLUTION

In iOS Settings, disable Bluetooth then re-enable it.

After this, the Kingsong app was able to connect to the wheel.

I suspect it has something to do with the way iOS remembers Bluetooth devices.

Same on Android... When it happens, just disable/enable bluetooth and you'll be happy again :-)
