Master Ong
You ever try go fast and the wheel started shaking? I clocked it at 24mph and the wheel was shaking alot, very scary. Is it the wheel or is it me?
meepmeepmayer
It's you. There's a lot of info on wobbles if you search this forum: https://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Aelectricunicycle.org+wobble Short version: You naturally dampen away any sideways imbalances with your relaxed body and just keep the momentum of you and the wheel. But the imbalances (from a non-perfect riding surface, or a tiny gust of wind, or a tiny twitch of your body, or...) can come and grow faster and stronger at speed. Depending on how much experience you have with riding, at some point you can't dampen them quick enough or even amplify any imbalances by overcompensating or delayed reaction. That's the wobble. Can happen very quick. Negative (dampening) vs. positive (amplifying) feedback loop. Being literally physically relaxed (not afraid is a big part of that, but also not stressed, slept well, and so on) and experienced allows you to ride higher and higher speeds without wobble because you can just cooly compensate whatever appears.
