question on gt16 axle play ?

I notice I have slight play between going forward and backward on the Gt16. As I stand on the EUC and rock slowly between front and back there is a little movement between the two. Can any others tell me if their Gt16 has the same "play" ?, or is this a sign that he axle bolts are a bit loose?

I think that is kind of normal, I have had maybe an inch or thereabouts (rolling length) of play on both my motors with a total of three sets of pedal arms.

I think it is part of the firmware, the alternative would probably be very twitchy and consume a lot of unnecessary power - or that's my imagination at least. I only notice it if I grab something at a red light and don't step down.
