Brian
How do really tell how many (mAh) your battery is? Coming from china again with some plain covered batteries. Brian
esaj
You can ride the battery to totally empty and then charge it with using something like the Charge Doctor between the wheel and the charger: http://forum.electricunicycle.org/topic/346-charge-doctor/ That way you can measure the amount of mAh / Wh the battery can take in reality while charging it.Another way is to open up the battery pack and check the cell markings, then find the capacity- and other info of the brand and model from online and calculate from there. But this is not that sure way, as there are sometimes low quality pirate-copies of big brand cells and some less-know brands make claims of 4000+mAh -cells, which actually hold maybe half of that. Here's a good article to understand how series- and parallel-connections affect the total capacity: http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/serial_and_parallel_battery_configurations
