Especially when reading this article, which doesn't seem to have been disputed or retracted since its 2013 publication:http://www.oregonlive.com/small-business/index.ssf/2013/05/with_solowheel_shane_chens_inv.html

Sounds like everything went bad when he hired business people. I can imagine them saying not to invest in new models and production volume, claiming the IP is worth hundreds of millions we can just extract costly licensing fees etc. Then ninebot won't play so they're out of options, they can try to "assert" their IP but all that does is provoke large companies into launching barrages of counter suits and you will never be able to sell products again. Not that the business execs or lawyers care, I'm sure they raised enough capital to pay themselves hefty wages as they drag out a battle they likely knew they would lose. They can just find a new startup company once they finish.

This experience was probably the highlight of our trip. Highly recommended especially if you don't have a lot of time in the city to see everything. The 2 hour segway tour was a great way to see the city, and also in my opinion the most entertaining way! Our tour guide was extremely informative about interesting areas, and spoke English very, very well. However among English he also speaks Spanish and French so he can provide for a variety of people! We booked our tour here http://www.eurosegway.eu
