brad
my hover board takes off. When trying to get on it takes off at the slightest touch. if I hold it off the ground and push the sensors it goes at full speed and the motors jerk violently. Tried trimming the rubber knob. Checked for air pockets. Replaced the control boards. Anyone have any idea what to check next.
Hunka Hunka Burning Love
Did you try doing a calibration cycle by pressing the power button a bit longer while having the board positioned perfectly level? Something doesn't sounds right especially if you have replaced the control boards. It's probably quite difficult to do, but try checking all your wiring and connectors are sound. A short somewhere in the hall sensor wiring coming from the motor could fool the control boards making it think it should drive the wheels forward to keep in balance. Do the motors take off on both sides simultaneously? That's very weird. Why did you replace the control boards in the first place? Are you certain they are compatible with your motors?
