SEGWAY BALANCE IO HAWK PROBLEMS

Hi All,

I bought my grandchildren a SEGWAY BALANCE IO HAWK for Christmas 2015  from a seller on Amazon (so now only 4 months old).   It has now stopped working and I wondered whether anyone else has had the same problem.  The swegway appears to charge up - showing a green light but when pressure is applied to the pads nothing works and the blue lights do not show.

Any ideas on what we can do or does this show it has broken down.   The seller says we have only the right to 28 days return ???

Liz,

Just to clarify I am not sure this product is manufactured by Segway.  IO Hawk are Most manufacturers have 1 year manufacturing warranty and even for batteries it is about 90 days.  

I would suggest to contact Amazon and return defective product.

I went through Amazon to contact the seller but he informed me, through Amazon, that there is only a 28 day return.  They offered to pay for a repair but as my grandchildren live on Jersey, Channel Islands, we cannot find anyone who does repairs on balance boards.
