I hold 38 -42 mph indicated for good portions of my rides. I have tiltback set to 80 PWM and I've never hit it. As long as you don't lean on it too hard at those speeds, I think those are safe speeds. I have gone faster in short bursts, but no sustained for more than a couple minutesat a time.
