EUC World App - Top Riders ranking

Recommended Posts

Hi, @Seba.

Could you, please, explain a little about the criteria used in the Top Riders ranking?

For example, in the "Fast & furious" category, is there a minimum distance that must be covered?

After recording the tour, how long does it take for it to appear in the rankings?

Congratulations on the work you do on the app.

Sure :) It's a good question, because indeed there are some criteria to make competition more fair and less prone to cheating. Of course, this ranking is and always was intended for fun only, but I know that lot of EUC World users do their best to get best results and show up high in the "Top #10" :D As a general rule, when we talk about speeds and distances, only GPS data is used, as EUC data can be over-/underinflated. All finished tours are taken into account, regardless of their visibility (privacy) setting. More or less clever algorithms are used to exclude tours that look like they have not been done entirely on wheel. Unfortunately, sometimes these algos are overly sensitive... :( Additionally, for "Fast & furious" and "Frequent rider", only tours 5 km and longer are take into account.

One more curiosity: does each ranking encompass all riders, or is it segmented for each unicycle model? In other words: could first place in the "Fast & furious" category be a Master, second place an S22 and third place a Sherman S?

No, it includes all wheels.
