Chris50
Hello everyone, I’m new to this community and I’m hoping to get some feedback here from any of you who know a lot more about this than me. I purchased a Veteran Patton from EWheels and when I hooked up the charger and then connected Darkness Bot to it, it was reading a full charge. Right out of the box and with 1.2 miles ridden on it. Is this normal? I was told that storing a full charge on these batteries causes damages to them. Anyone who has knowledge about this, I will much appreciate your feedback. RagingGrandpa
It's normal... While long-term storage at near 100% SoC is not ideal, think of it from the manufacturer's perspective: They test that the EUC charges fully, and confirm that it turns on and shows the correct voltage. How would they practically discharge the EUC to ~50% after this? It would be an extra, lengthy step during manufacturing, requiring additional equipment. So: they check it, and ship it. Hopefully a buyer receives the EUC shortly thereafter, and rides it. This minimizes the storage duration. 1
