Vam Monaco
So on this webpage, we have a Begode Master with 5 variations: The base model (called a V1) wheel starts at $2700 for a 2,400W/H battery, BUT if you pay $200 more for the V2, you can have a 2,000W/H battery... With less range for more money? Next up, you can pay $300 more for a metal case, but it also weighs 2,4kg more... Why would you want a heavier wheel other than it looks cool? And finally, you can REMOVE the suspension for $600 more... Why would you want to remove the suspension? Isn't that something desirable that people pay more for? Anyway, sorry for being an idiot
Tomallo
Ok, let me try to guess and explain: The molicel P42a cells have a lower internal resistance than samsung 50e cells. Therefore they can provide more power, at the cost of capacity (however, because of lower losses (heat generated) the difference in range might be negligible, and in the long term the molicels might have better longevity. Hard to tell though.) These cells are a bit more expensive than samsung ones, hence the price difference. The metal cases provide better protection for the batteries in a crash, and are more sturdy in general. I think it's just a better option in general, despite the cost and weight difference. As for the suspension delete... That's a tricky one, let me guess. It may be that you just pay for labor and parts to do that, and for some it may be desirable (look at wrong way's video on a suspenion delete on the V13, it might provide some insight). In short: "The removal of the suspension improved the wheel's balance, stability, and overall performance on smooth roads, making it more manageable and easier to push around in stores. Without suspension, the wheel feels sportier and more fun, but it also makes it more sensitive to imperfections on the road. However, it is still preferred for riding on smooth roads and urban scenarios." as summarized by a certain browser extension Edited July 27, 2023 by Tomallo
Bizra6ot
The suspension delete kit was originally designed for AR racers on the AVS racetrack before being commercialized, as mentioned above it's designed for performance only

The price is arbitrarily set depending on the condition of the wheel and the total mileage put on them. Masters dont come in some of these configurations stock out of the box. They have been worked on. On 7/27/2023 at 3:53 AM, Vam Monaco said: Next up, you can pay $300 more for a metal case, but it also weighs 2,4kg more... Why would you want a heavier wheel other than it looks cool? The metal case on the master and begode wheels is a vital upgrade imo. It prevents your battery packs from getting punctured or shattering on a crash, but also an issue with the plastic battery boxes is that the suspension design would flex when you hit big bumps. The metal boxes add a structural element to prevent the entire EUC from flexing when hitting bumps. The added weight is worth it for the extra durability
