tomdhunt Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 A few weeks ago I had a fairly bad crash on my Inmotion V11. After the crash, it seemed to ride okay, but sometime thereafter the trolley handle snapped off. On inspection, the mounting holes in the frame handle had broken out. I only discovered this later, but the entire frame handle has also snapped in two between left and right halves (it was held in by the mounting on both sides). I ordered a replacement frame handle (this part). I can see that it's the same part as the thing that's broken on mine. On trying to replace it, however, I found the frame handle was bolted to the two aluminum rails guarding the suspension system on each side. The bolts were under a sticker saying "removing bolts is forbidden", and in any case the bolts won't come out (it seems there's some kind of glue in the threads). Is there any way to replace this? 1 Quote

Try heating them up with a heat gun or blow dryer. Don't heat the batteries up though. A soldering iron might work to heat them up enough to loosen the bolts. Also let the air out of the shocks before you try loosening them. Edited May 2, 2023 by Paradox 1 1 Quote
Popular Post tomdhunt Posted May 4, 2023 Author Popular Post Posted May 4, 2023 The bolts came out successfully under propane torch. Current best guess is that the glue is some kind of Loktite-style thread lock compound; I made sure to apply some fresh when bolting back in the replacement. Looks like it worked fine. 2 2 Quote
